A Fort Myers man has been arrested in connection with a robbery and shooting at the Royal Arcade on South Cleveland Avenue. Levi Ross Jr., 46, is accused of entering the arcade wearing a mask, pointing a firearm at an employee, and demanding money. During the incident, an employee was shot in the hand. Deputies from the Lee County Sheriff’s Office responded promptly and located Ross fleeing through the Pine Manor neighborhood. After a brief foot pursuit, he was apprehended using a Taser and taken into custody. The firearm used in the robbery was later found hidden in a neighboring business. (Gulf Coast News Now)
Ross faces multiple charges, including robbery with a firearm, aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, shooting within an occupied private building, possession of a weapon by a convicted felon, providing false identification to law enforcement, and resisting an officer without violence. The injured employee was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The incident has raised concerns among local business employees about safety in the area.
